Mood:  energetic
Topic: IPMA in Taipei
We had very informative and wonderful session this morning. For those of you who could not attend might have lost something really means to you this time.

Many thanks to Roger who really did an excellent presentation to us for sharing experience in China the first two hours so did Win Wu who also talked about how he had come across for the success story of their manufacturing operation in Wugiang the last hour.

The meeting was held until 2:00 pm the afternoon. Few shots were taken so you see the ladies and gentlemen who have attended the meeting by clicking IPMA.

Experience with CPM Test and Certification
Mood:  sharp
Topic: Supply Management
CAPM will organize another CPM test again in Taiwan on April 25th 05. It reminds me some experience I had before which may be of help to friends pursuing the endeavor. First, concentrate all the effort with the study guide the last 10 days prior to the test to be taken place. Second, taking computer test in case you fail the test the first time the sooner you can once the confidence is buildup. - registration is readily via ISM the link is at the right/bottom side of my Blog.

Above is my CPM certification. Good luck to you all!

A brief introduction to IPMA
Mood:  special
Topic: IPMA in Taipei
IPMA in Taipei is an none-profit and unofficial organization which was established by a group of professionalism in supply management and purchasing, mostly of the members were came from US Corporates with manufacturing resources and IPOs (Off-shore purchasing agents) in Taiwan at mid-80s.

Information sharing was one of the major objectives in the beginning though our members come and leave from time to time, However, I feel very enjoyable for being the member, we meet each other once every two months these days.

LIfe after retirement
Mood:  chatty
It was May 15, 2005, I simply could not falling asleep for a whole week with the pain at my back close to the heap. Worst of all, I could not blink my right eye by May 18th.

The right side of my face was completely paralyzed, I must use a mask to cover my right eye to prevent its drying because of incapable to blink.

Glad that I am back to normal after the rehabilitation the last five months. I can feel that nothing is more important than to have good health during this period.

To live in great painful either mentally or physically is great challenge to human being. All man must face the difficulty as they are getting old.

Looking for the bright future
Mood:  bright
Topic: IPMA in Taipei
There are many members who must leave home and work at PRC these days, we need to find ways for better communication with each other. Senior members who used to work for international companies in Taipei like HP, IBM and ATT were either forced to retire or leave home by working at countries where manufacturing cost are much less to most products. Companies in Taiwan with resources in PRC seems getting larger like Faxcon, Liton and Delta. The suppliers who try to stay at home are, in reality, facing difficulties for the survival.
